This is a very effective cooling process without air or water. The temperature of the hot melt is reduced by means of a chilled roll. The melt is cooled down very quickly, with possible flow rates of up to 100 kg/h. After cooling, the product is reduced to flakes by means of a kibbler. The subsequent milling procedure can be done on line by directly adding a hammer mill or a conical mill. In this way one obtains a complete process "from the powder to the powder".
From the powder to the powder
After the discharge...
the hot melt is pressed between two cooled rolls.
The flakes are transported via a belt to the mill,
where it is pulverized.
